A Painter’s Path through the Adirondack Mountains
For the past few years I have been working towards a book of Adirondack Mountain paintings to complement my books on the Catskill Mountains and Cape Breton Island.
I have made a number of painting trips to the Adirondacks, basing myself at Lake George, Heart lake, Elk Lake and Lake Placid. In a couple of more years I feel I will have the material I need to produce A Painter’s Path through the Adirondack Mountains.
My practice is to paint pastels from life during my visits, and work up oil paintings in my studio from photos I take on site. I have been having a great time and the paintings are exciting. My Adirondack works are finding collectors and I have been exhibiting through the region.
